Happy Birthday to the Empire I Accidentally Built

Here is to one year of sin & spice. Happy Birthday to Us, my little Demon Babes!

A person in black attire with a crown graphic is thoughtful. Pink text reads "One year of Sin & Spice" against a dark "Sovereign Era" background.

Dear Sinners, Lovers, & Feral Book Fiends,

Happy Birthday to The Queen of Smut — apparently she just turned one… and, shocker, she forgot. Again. Someone bring cake and margaritas. 🎂🍹

Did I remember on time?

Absolutely not.

Did I throw a confetti bomb and scream, “HOW HAS IT BEEN A YEAR ALREADY?!” — yes. Yes, I did. No, I did not.

But here it is, just for you, my little demons.

Somehow, between reviews, Scentsy chaos, smut spreadsheets, family life, and the occasional existential crisis, I built a throne. A pink, glitter-covered, book-obsessed throne.

A crowned woman with pink hair sits confidently on a throne, surrounded by pink flames. Text reads "QUEEN OF SMUT." Roses adorn the scene.

🖤 What Started as a Blog Became a Revolution

When I hit “post” on my very first review, I had no idea it would turn into a brand, a voice, a movement.

I just wanted a safe space to scream about dark romance, shifters, and fictional men who ruin lives and fix nothing. I wanted a corner of the internet where readers could be emotional, filthy, dramatic, and divine without being told to tone it down.

Fast forward 365 days:

We’ve built a library, a coven, a whole damn empire.

You’ve made me laugh until I cried and cry until I laughed.

You’ve turned The Queen of Smut from a persona into a purpose.

💅 The Chaos & The Crown

Let’s be real — this year wasn’t all glitter and glory.

I lost focus. I got overwhelmed. I second-guessed myself more times than I care to admit.

But through it all, this community kept me grounded.

You reminded me that being neurodivergent doesn’t make me messy, it makes me magic.

That being emotional isn’t a weakness, it’s my weapon.

That being “too much” is exactly what makes this brand mine.

I forgot my own anniversary (and yes, it shares a birthday with my mother, who I absolutely adore), but that’s okay because it’s a reminder:

I built something real. Something people feel. And that’s worth celebrating every damn day.

One Year Later

The Queen of Smut isn’t just a name anymore.

She’s a world. A voice. A safe place for sinners who feel too much.

We’ve grown into the Queen of Smut, Library of Sin, and now into something bigger than a brand: a legacy.

You’ve let me be honest. Weird. Heartbroken. Wild.

You’ve watched me evolve from “just another book reviewer” into a Smutpreneur, a scent sorceress, a chaos curator.

And baby, we’re just getting started.

🔥What Comes Next

📚 More books. More spice. More tears in the best way.

🦇 A deeper dive into author services, 3D prints, and collabs.

💋 A focus on community, not perfection.

👑 And an unapologetic era of being SOVEREIGN — because I finally know what this crown means.

To every author who trusted me with their words, every reader who screamed with me in the comments, and every friend who reminded me to rest , thank you.

We made it a year.

A year of chaos, laughter, and spicy survival.

Here’s to Year Two:

Even messier.

Even hotter.

Even more unapologetically me.
